Mother-in-law grew a coconut in a pot at home and was laughed at by the family, but before long it was covered in fruit

Coconuts, we generally see them more often in Hainan, but the coconut is not only delicious in flesh, the coconut water inside is also especially tasty. Everyone in the family especially loves coconuts, especially my mother-in-law. I remember she even went out of her way to learn how to grow coconuts in pots just to eat them. At first the whole family laughed at her, but who knew that after growing it for only a short time it was covered in fruit. So how exactly did she grow it? Let's take a look together!
At the beginning, when it was first potted it was just a tiny thing, like a big snail lying there quietly. Who would have thought it would now produce such big fruit. My mother-in-law was also pleasantly surprised. Later, when the neighbors saw it, they all came over to ask her how she had grown coconuts in a pot. Actually, the method is not especially difficult.
Light
My mother-in-law says the coconut is a plant that likes partial shade, so it must not be exposed to direct strong light, otherwise the coconut's leaves will turn dry and yellow; however, although the coconut likes partial shade, if it is placed in a spot with insufficient light for a long time, the plant will become thin and spindly. So indoors it is best to place it in a bright spot by the window.
Watering
The coconut is a plant that likes water, so while the coconut is growing, be sure to keep the soil moist. Generally, during the dormant period we choose to wait until two-thirds of the potting soil is dry before watering. In addition, the coconut likes high air humidity; if it is too dry, the leaf tips will turn brown. So during dry periods, such as autumn, measures such as frequently spraying water on the leaves should be taken to raise the air humidity around the plant.
Potting soil
The coconut is not too demanding about soil. Generally, loose, fertile soil with relatively good aeration is enough to let the coconut grow better.
