The magic city does not have spring all year round, but spring is like four seasons.
Not many people in my friend circle grow succulents, so I cannot be bothered to post all the time. But thinking that so many beautiful succulent photos would go unappreciated felt like a waste, so I started brewing the idea of submitting an article to try.
Since falling into the succulent pit in 2015, I have stumbled and struggled through one batch after another, and finally it stabilized. A rough count shows about 60-plus varieties. Not many, and it cannot be many. Because of the layout of the apartment, only one windowsill can be used for growing, and it basically has to be grown outdoors. Except for a few times in deep winter when the temperature dropped below 5 degrees and I went to great lengths moving them in and out, the rest of the time, unless it rained continuously, they basically relied on the sky for their needs.
Every time the succulents grow wildly and look delightfully healthy, I feel especially happy. Whenever I have free time, I can quietly look at them for a long, long time, picking up every pot to check how it is growing, whether it needs repotting, and whether there are any problems. Actually, on the road of growing succulents, I am still cautiously exploring. But succulents really are magical species; they always give you surprises when you least expect it. Taking advantage of the recent cheat-mode season, I will record some of them. Everyone says spring rain is as precious as oil, and indeed it is. After a few spring rains, experiencing the temperature swings of the magic city's spring-like-four-seasons, and the warm sunshine, I feel delighted every day just looking at them.
