Recently I heard flower lovers complaining about why the flower growing methods summarized by those masters just do not work once they are in your own hands. Actually, these guides are also determined by actual conditions. For example, if what the masters post is a guide for northern flower lovers growing flowers, then for southern flower lovers, its feasibility is not very high.

1. Environment

The climate issue between north and south is the biggest difference in growing flowers. The weather in the south is relatively warm. Even in winter, the weather is rarely below zero degrees, and generally the weather is around 10 to 20-plus degrees, while most flowers relatively like this kind of climate. This has also created the conditions for the south to have so many flowers.

In winter, although southern flowers do not have heating, they are not especially unable to withstand the cold. As long as they are cared for well, they can still get through the winter. Although the north has heating, the climate is too dry, so if you want to grow southern flowers, you must pay attention to humidity!

2. Soil

Another difficulty when southern flowers are grown in the north is the soil that gives everyone a headache. Most northern soil tends to be alkaline, while southern soil tends to be acidic. If southern flowers are planted in the north, because alkaline soil cannot provide the nutrients the flowers need, most will grow poorly or die.

Therefore, the acidity and alkalinity of the soil must be improved so that the soil can have nutrients for the flowers to absorb. Northern flower lovers can pour some ferrous sulfate into the soil to increase the acidity in the soil. Flowers have very high requirements for soil, so it needs to be replenished once in a while.

3. Light

Because of the difference in latitude, the amount of sunlight in the north and south is also different. The light in the south is relatively more sufficient than in the north, and relatively better meets the light needs of flowers, while the light in the north is not especially sufficient, and there are also relatively many smoggy days. This means that when southern flowers arrive in the north, these reasons will cause their growth to be different as well.

Northern flowers have relatively strict requirements for light, and air humidity also has a great influence, because the dry weather in the north further increases the difficulty of planting. It is not that they cannot be planted, it is just that after planting they need twice the care and maintenance, and the biggest reason for insufficient light is that the flowers are very likely because of this to fail to bloom or to have flowers whose color is not as good-looking or bright.
