Applying microbial fertilizer is an important measure in fertilization for pollution-free citrus orchards. On the basis of meeting the citrus tree's demand for various nutrient elements, it can degrade cultivated land pollution in the orchard, enhance citrus resistance, and greatly reduce the use of chemical fertilizers and pesticides, so that citrus can truly achieve green growth. Below, let's talk about the methods for applying microbial fertilizer to citrus.

I. Apply heavy winter fertilizer

Before and after harvesting in the citrus orchard, combine deep plowing and soil improvement with a heavy application of microbial fertilizer. Applying microbial fertilizer at this time is very beneficial for restoring the citrus tree's vigor and can effectively promote flower bud differentiation.

II. Apply spring fertilizer early

When citrus buds sprout in spring (late February to early March), applying microbial fertilizer can fully meet the citrus tree's demand for nitrogen and phosphorus fertilizers, promote the normal sprouting of new branches, achieve the goals of strengthening shoots and improving the quality of flowering branches, and provide the nutrients needed for later citrus fruit growth.

III. Apply fruit fertilizer skillfully

Microbial fertilizer is rich in various nutrient elements such as nitrogen, phosphorus, and potassium. Applying microbial fertilizer in mid-to-late May can compensate for the nutrients consumed by flowering, allow young fruit to receive sufficient nutrition, increase the fruit-setting rate, and reduce fruit drop.

However, note that the fertilization method should be determined according to tree vigor, soil, and weather conditions. In dry seasons, water first to moisten the soil, then fertilize. This helps the root system absorb nutrients and achieves the effect of "promoting fertilizer with water."

IV. Foliar topdressing

That is, use a water-soluble microbial agent and spray it directly on the leaves. This method has a high absorption and utilization rate by plants and takes effect quickly. Applying microbial agent as foliar fertilizer at the bud stage, flowering stage, and young fruit stage can increase the fruit-setting rate of citrus and benefit the expansion and development of the fruit.
