In the process of growing flowers, we often encounter the phenomenon of flowers not growing, being thin and weak, or having yellow leaves. A big reason is not fertilizing the flowers and green plants, which causes malnutrition and makes the flowers grow poorly.

Usually, besides going to the flower market to buy the corresponding flower fertilizer, in fact, this kind of "residue" in daily life can also be used to grow flowers, and that is the tea leaf residue after brewing tea. It is very easy to get, and using it to grow flowers is rich in nutrients, and it can make the potting soil loose and airy. Let's see how it is used.

Tea leaf residue can be used as flower fertilizer, but first we need to understand that even after tea leaves are brewed, most of the theophylline they contain has been lost, but in fact it has not completely disappeared, so if tea leaf residue is used as flower fertilizer for a long time, it may change the soil pH.

Therefore, if you want to use tea leaf residue as flower fertilizer, the tea leaf residue needs to go through a period of composting and fermentation before it can be used. The method is as follows:

1. First, mix the tea leaf residue with soil at a ratio of 1:5. After turning and mixing evenly, sprinkle a little water, store it in a container with drainage holes at the bottom, and cover it with a black plastic bag.

2. Then just put it directly under the sun to sun-dry. If you find that the color of the compost has turned to the dark brown of soil, and there are not too many impurities, the composting is basically complete. In summer, it is usually done in about 2 months.

Precautions:

1. During fermentation, stir it often, about once a week. If the fermentation temperature is too high, especially in summer, also add water to cool it down. If the compost is too dry, you can give it a little water regularly, which can speed up the composting.

2. After the compost has fermented well, because its fertility is very strong, it is not suitable for directly planting plants. Generally, when potting or repotting flowers, it is better to mix it with other soil and use it together.
