Grow a few kinds of fruit on your balcony, and you'll never lack fruit to eat all summer long

Summer is here, and the season for enjoying all kinds of fruit has arrived. In fact, there are many fruits we can grow on our own balconies. They can be enjoyed for their looks and picked to eat, so you get multiple benefits in one!
1. Strawberry
Strawberries prefer a warm, cool climate. They are quite fond of light and also have fairly strong tolerance for shade. When light is strong, the plants stay compact and sturdy, the fruit is smaller, and the quality is good. Growing strawberries is also fairly simple. We can propagate them directly from seed or just buy mature plants. In everyday care of strawberries, be sure to provide plenty of light, keep the soil moist, and supply ample fertilizer and water, so they will bloom more and bear more fruit.
2. Fig
The fig can be said to be a fruit that is very well suited to container growing. Figs have a fairly developed root system, so they need to be grown in a somewhat larger container. Propagating figs is also fairly simple. We can propagate them by stem cuttings: choose a branch with two or three bud nodes, then soak it in rooting solution, and after that it can be inserted into the soil as a cutting. Generally, it will take root in about a month. Be careful not to let it run short of water. Figs usually need pruning and shaping, and in everyday care they should be kept in an environment with plenty of light and good ventilation.
3. Pineapple
With a pineapple you buy normally, you can keep the crown. Remove the excess pineapple flesh and the excess leaves. After cleaning it up, put it in a spot with indirect light and good ventilation to air-dry for a day or two, and then you can place it on a wide-mouthed bottle to root in water. Generally, after a few weeks it will grow small roots. After rooting, the crown can be planted directly into a flowerpot.
