Along with a wave of Aeonium fever, more and more succulent lovers have fallen into the trap and become obsessed with them, and as early as 4 years ago, she had already deeply fallen for Aeoniums.....

Today is our 6th wedding anniversary, also a big number in years of growing succulents, and my Aeonium-growing years are more than 4, sighing at how time flies

Less than two square meters full of love

Limited by space, grown in small pots with controlled conditions, growing slowly, but developing a good figure. Maybe one day there will be a terrace. You always have to have dreams, what if they come true~

How much youth of succulent growers does a small balcony carry, one year, two years, or even longer......

There was a blind-growing period, a variety-collecting period, a tired period.... Gradually only some of my favorite varieties remained

Some people say with disdain that you cannot bring out the beauty of Aeoniums on a balcony, so you might as well not grow them.....

I replied sharply: If your parents gave birth to you ugly, does that mean you should not live?

There are also some friends who got into this because of me. Last year's wave of Aeonium fever made the beauty of Aeoniums widely known

Their beauty lies in their variability, and some people do not appreciate the looks of Aeoniums, but they are extremely suitable for someone like me who is "fickle and always chasing the new"

You will never know what it will look like tomorrow, but you will feel the wonder of life because of its changes

If growing Sedums is a kind of cultivation, then I think growing Aeoniums is an endless journey, always on the road.....

Free-range management makes people relaxed and happy, like children raised freely

In summer, there is sunlight from noon to dark, and there are always about half a month of 40-degree weather. My management method is simple and rough--the balcony gets no rain, no shading all summer, no watering, and in autumn I wake them up with a ladle of water.

I have seen many succulent lovers who grow Aeoniums often complain about how tiring and hard it is to grow them, but honest advice is always unpleasant to the ear: how can you gain experience if you do not try?

After all, only a minority have outdoor growing conditions. How many Aeonium fans fell into the trap because of those rose-like pictures, full of enthusiasm, yet the more they grow them, the uglier they get. For balcony growers, it is almost impossible to make them wrap up like roses.

So there is no need to pursue so deliberately the so-called bun shape. Every flower pleases different eyes, it is just that the beauty is different.

In order not to let them grow too large, and also to prevent them from growing misshapen, I also rarely give water during the growing season. If we cannot appreciate roses, we can always appreciate a good figure. Already winning the world with a back view, why turn around and disturb the youth?

Four-word summer motto: Do not get rained on! Aeonium fans, keep it up~
