The lazier you are with potted plants, the more vigorously they grow, making them perfect for lazy gardeners

As the saying goes, "Be diligent with fish, lazy with flowers." If you pamper your plants too much, they are more likely to run into problems. For example, frequent watering and fertilizing can easily harm flowers and, in serious cases, can even cause the plants to die.

As the saying goes, "Be diligent with fish, lazy with flowers." If you pamper your plants too much, they are more likely to run into problems. For example, frequent watering and fertilizing can easily harm flowers and, in serious cases, can even cause the plants to die. Some flowers actually grow better the more neglectfully they are treated.

1. Heartleaf Aptenia (Aptenia cordifolia)

Heartleaf Aptenia is a very easy-to-grow potted plant. It is better to keep it slightly dry during normal care, and place it in an environment with plenty of bright, indirect light, where it blooms quite easily. Heartleaf Aptenia has low requirements for water and fertilizer; during the growing season, applying cake fertilizer water once a month is enough. If you want Heartleaf Aptenia to bloom more, proper pruning is essential. Trim back some of the overly lush branches and stems and pinch off the growing tips, which will encourage more branching and therefore more flowers.

2. Pennywort (Hydrocotyle vulgaris)

Pennywort is arguably the best green plant of all. It fears neither sun nor waterlogging. We can grow it in a half-water, half-soil setup, adding an appropriate amount of water to the container and simply topping it up when the water runs low. Then place it in a spot with plenty of light; even the scorching summer sun is no problem. The more sun it gets, the better it grows.

3. Kalanchoe (Kalanchoe blossfeldiana)

Kalanchoe is a succulent plant, fairly drought-tolerant, and prefers light. Kalanchoe care requires plenty of light, ensuring sufficient sunlight, and watering must not be too frequent; too much water easily leads to failure to bloom. Applying liquid fertilizer once or twice a month during the growing season helps it grow better.

4. Air Plant (Tillandsia)

Air plants are very well suited to lazy gardeners. They are the only plants on Earth that can grow entirely in the air, thriving without soil and even producing beautiful flowers. We can mount them anywhere we like. Their leaves absorb nutrients and moisture from the air; of course, if they lack water, we can also give them a light misting.

5. Rubber Plant (Ficus elastica)

The Rubber Plant is an excellent plant. It has no strict requirements for water, and its ornamental value is very high, making it very suitable for indoor potted cultivation. It also has a certain effect in purifying the air and trapping dust, so during normal care, attention should be paid to keeping the leaves clean.

6. Peperomia (Peperomia obtusifolia)

Peperomia is a perennial herbaceous plant that prefers a warm, humid environment. It is commonly seen on office desks, letting us relax body and mind during work breaks. Its shape is attractive, and placing it on a coffee table, bookshelf, or desk at home can serve as a wonderful decorative touch.
