Small balcony space for growing roses? Choosing the right variety is very important

Many people want to grow roses at home, because roses have beautiful flower forms, and each variety has its own unique fragrance that people find utterly captivating. But most people only have a balcony, and roses take up a lot of space, so a small balcony cannot hold many roses. Small balcony space? And you still want to grow roses? The rose introduced below is one you are sure to love.
Juice Balcony rose, with a relatively light fragrance, belongs to the free-flowering type of miniature rose, and its flower color is a bright orange-orange with some pink edging. When it first blooms it is orange, then gradually fades to pale pink. Its flowering period is relatively long compared with other varieties, and under sufficient nutrients and sunlight it can last 1-2 weeks. Whenever you see it in bloom, it is like drinking a glass of ice-cold orange juice, bathing in the sunlight, and your mood becomes very joyful.
Juice Balcony basically grows to about 50 cm and that is about it, so even if the balcony is not large, it is still suitable for growing. But its flowering performance, petal count, and fragrance are not inferior to shrub and climbing roses.
Choosing a flower pot
Growing roses on a balcony requires choosing a suitable flower pot, among which Qingshan pots and gallon pots are chosen more often. The advantages of gallon pots are their large capacity, the wide range of pot sizes to choose from, their affordable price, their light weight, suitable depth, and good drainage. Qingshan pots are slightly more expensive, and the root-control design at the bottom is a highlight, so the side gaps make it easy for water to pass through, and it is not prone to water accumulation and root rot.
For balcony roses, usually only a 1-gallon or about 2-gallon pot is enough to grow them well, and if you grow a few pots at home, you really will have flowers to look at every day.
Soil and fertilizing
For growing roses on a balcony, it is recommended not to use garden soil, as garden soil is heavy and has no nutrients. You can use peat soil mixed with perlite, at a ratio of about 8:2, and when mixing the soil you can sprinkle in a little bone meal and chicken manure fertilizer, sheep manure pellets. Soil mixed this way is breathable, drains well, and has sufficient nutrients. It is guaranteed to let your roses bloom continuously for several months. For topdressing, you can use a compound microbial nutrient solution rich in humic acid and organic nutrients, at a ratio of 1:500~1000, diluted with water and then poured on as fertilizer; with sufficient nutrition, the flowering will be good.
Sufficient sunlight and good ventilation
In an environment with sufficient light, the flowers produced by roses will be more beautiful. Therefore, during care, flower lovers should try to place the roses on the outer side of the balcony, so that the plants will be healthier. In addition, before and after watering roses, attention should be paid to ventilation. If it is an enclosed balcony, be sure to open the windows, because without ventilation, the leaves of roses are prone to bacteria, yellow leaves, and even leaf spot disease, powdery mildew, and so on.
