Chinese chives are not only rich in nutrients and good in taste, but also bring many benefits to the human body, and are called the lazy person's vegetable and the longevity leek. So how do you grow such a valuable Chinese chive at home?

1. Sow with Chinese chive seeds. You can sow in spring and autumn. As long as the temperature reaches 18 degrees, it is fine.

2. Grow from Chinese chive roots. You can use a breathable, lightweight pot. Chinese chives adapt strongly to soil, and basically any soil will do, but loose, fertile soil is best.

Before planting, trim the Chinese chive roots a little, do not bury the leaves, after planting press the soil down firmly, and water promptly.

If you want Chinese chives to grow fast, grow like crazy, and grow lush, there are two little tricks: 1. Change the soil once every two years, in late autumn or winter. Dig out the Chinese chive roots and trim off one third of the old roots. Prepare soil with base fertilizer and replant. Plant six roots per clump, water thoroughly, and they will easily survive. Apply enough base fertilizer.

2. Before planting, apply enough base fertilizer. After each harvest of Chinese chives, mix some decomposed chicken manure or cow manure with water and pour it on.

The fertilizers generally used for growing Chinese chives are plant ash, sesame cake, and soybean cake fertilizer; apply a top dressing after each harvest. Once the Chinese chives grow out, the leaves are wide, long and sturdy. Cut and eat one crop, and another crop grows.

The Chinese chives harvested today will be used to make dinner: scrambled eggs with Chinese chives, fragrant and delicious; you can also use the Chinese chives you grew yourself to make dumplings or Chinese chive pockets, which everyone loves, really too tasty.
