How to grow spider plants so the leaves reach two fingers wide
If you want your spider plant to grow into a lush, cascading waterfall, you need to master spider plant care techniques and tend to it carefully according to its habits, so it grows vigorously with leaves that are both green and large!
Spider plant care techniques:
Spider plants stay evergreen all year round and are very easy to grow, but turning one into a waterfall still takes some effort. Below are spider plant care techniques.
(1). Spider plants love light, so make sure they get plenty of light on a regular basis. In summer, however, they need shade and must not be exposed to scorching sun, as this is what keeps the leaves a fresh, glossy green.
(2). When watering, check the surface of the potting soil first and do not water blindly, otherwise too little or too much water will both harm the spider plant's growth. Keep the potting soil moist while also maintaining good ventilation so moisture can evaporate in time and waterlogging is avoided.
(3). For regular fertilising, you can water the spider plant with diluted fermented soybean water, or with some rice-washing water, which will help it grow even better.
(4). The water left from washing chicken or pork in daily life can be poured into the pot in small amounts to provide nutrients and make the spider plant grow green and vigorous. Repot in time to maintain the soil's nutrients and avoid them being completely used up, which would affect growth.
(5). When repotting, put some peanuts or peanut shells at the bottom of the pot. This prevents the potting soil from compacting and keeps it loose with good drainage, so the spider plant grows vigorously and reaches two fingers wide.
