How do you grow succulent plants into a full pot? Three methods to easily sprout side shoots

To get succulent plants to fill out a pot, you must choose the right succulents. Not all succulents are suited to filling out a pot. If you are a beginner just starting out, it is recommended to choose simple, easy-to-care-for succulents. Such as string of pearls, vine-type succulents and other easy-to-keep-alive ones, which are cheap and easy to grow. Most methods for making succulents produce multiple heads use physical means, disrupting the original tissue to achieve the goal of promoting new shoots.
Beheading succulent plants makes it easy to propagate and fill out a pot. This method is the most widely used and most popular, and the method is relatively simple: cut off the head of the succulent plant, and then the plant itself will sprout multiple new growth points, thereby achieving the goal of multiple heads. First, at a suitable position, or a position that must be cut, snip it off cleanly. Take the cut-off succulent, pull off some of the lower leaves, place it on paper and let it dry overnight; the pulled-off leaves can also be grown using the leaf-cutting propagation method.
Beheading will greatly affect the plant's appearance, so thoughtful flower enthusiasts came up with the pinching method, which achieves multiple heads by removing the top tip of the succulent plant. That is, cut off a section of the top, and afterward the mother plant will sprout many small side shoots at the cut area or below. The cut-off part, once the wound is dried, can be inserted into slightly moist soil and left to root; after a period of time, once the roots grow, it becomes a brand-new succulent.
The last method is the leaf-pulling method. Compared with the previous two methods, the leaf-pulling method is simpler: during the succulent plant's growing season, generally spring and autumn, when the succulent plant is at its most robust, pull off the succulent plant's leaves at a suitable position, then place the succulent plant in a cool, ventilated spot to help the wound heal, and later new shoots will emerge. You can also apply fungicidal powder such as carbendazim to the wound.
Once the succulent plant has filled out the pot, how do you transplant a few small seedlings out? In this season, it is not recommended that you transplant just a few small seedlings out; you can consider moving the whole pot into a larger container. When transplanting, you must be careful and patient, using a small trowel to slowly lift out the whole plant along the edge of the pot. If small seedlings or leaves break off during transplanting, they can be cultivated separately. Summer is not good for succulent growth, so it is best to wait until autumn to transplant.
Succulent plants generally like regions with a large temperature difference. In areas like Yunnan, succulents are especially beautiful, because the temperature difference between day and night there is quite large, which is very beneficial for succulent plant growth. In the south, where the natural temperature difference is not large, you can create a large temperature difference yourself; for example, place them in a cooler indoor area at night and put them outside in the sun during the day, which can also create a large temperature difference to make succulents fill out a pot.
