These days, plants like pothos, Chinese rose, and asparagus fern are kept in basically every household, because they are not only highly ornamental but also decorate the home environment well, but many people can only keep them alive and do not know how to grow them better.

1. Snake plant

The snake plant grows well under conditions of sufficient light. If it is placed in a too-dark spot indoors for too long, the leaves will turn dull and lack vitality. At this point it needs to be taken out to get some sun.

2. Pothos

To grow pothos, use rice-washing water that has already been composted and fermented, otherwise it will not only easily breed pests, but in serious cases can also cause root rot.

3. Chinese rose

The Chinese rose symbolizes "prosperity and a bright future". When growing it at home, pay attention to keeping it in a semi-dry state often, and do not let water accumulate at the roots, otherwise once the roots rot it will easily die.

4. Anthurium

Anthurium belongs to the Araceae family and is slightly toxic. The petals and sap of the anthurium are slightly toxic, so remember to wash your hands after each pruning of branches and leaves. It can be kept at home, but it is best placed outdoors or on a balcony.

5. Asparagus fern

The asparagus fern is relatively sensitive. In summer, pay attention to keeping it moist, and occasionally spray water around it to maintain moisture. Be careful not to place the asparagus fern next to a television, or smoke around it. Otherwise, the asparagus fern will develop yellowing leaves.

6. Lucky bamboo

Lucky bamboo is prone to dry leaf edges or "air-conditioning sickness". When growing lucky bamboo, place it as little as possible next to household appliances such as air conditioners, because the heat produced by the air outlet or heat dissipation vent will make the lucky bamboo leaves dry up.

7. Clivia

When watering clivia, you cannot wait until the potting soil is dry before watering; it needs watering when half-dry. Keeping the potting soil moist at both the top and bottom is beneficial to its growth and development.

8. Fish tank

In the top filter compartment of the fish tank, where the fertilizer is most abundant, grow some flowering plants, such as pothos, spider plant, pennywort, and so on. They not only have first-rate fertilizer-absorbing ability, but are also attractive and easy to manage.

9. Pest control

Add more water to mashed garlic and pour it on to kill aphids. Take smoked cigarette butts and soak them in boiling water overnight, then the next day use a spray bottle to water the flowers, which can also kill aphids.

10. Cleanup

Clean up the dead branches and rotten leaves. After the plants recover from transplanting, just leave them for normal care, and generally they can recover within a few months. No special measures are needed, and only in very serious cases should the potting soil be replaced and the rotten roots pruned.
