Money Tree grows very fast in the current season, but some gardening friends report that their Money Trees have barely grown, and even show yellowing and falling leaves.

Today Hua'er will introduce some tips for caring for the Money Tree. Master these 3 points and new shoots will keep coming, with lush, glossy green leaves!

1. Light

The Money Tree likes light but hates direct strong sunlight. The sun is getting stronger and stronger now, so you need to shade it every day. It is best to set up a shade canopy for it; for about 6 hours around midday, the shading rate can reach 50%, letting it receive some scattered light, which is more favorable for its growth.

Prepare a black plastic bag. After the sun sets, cover the Money Tree for dark treatment, reaching more than 15 hours per day, which can help it grow better.

2. Watering

To care for the Money Tree, you need to create an environment that is both moist and on the dry side. It has a certain drought tolerance, so keeping the potting soil slightly moist and leaning dry is best. Water thoroughly only when the potting soil shows signs of turning white and cracking. When the temperature reaches 34°C, spray the leaves once a day; if it has not reached that, you can spray according to how dry it is, or spray once every two days.

3. Fertilizing

The Money Tree likes fertilizer, mainly compound fertilizer. You can apply diluted cake fertilizer liquid once a month. For those with poorer growth, you can bury some bone meal in the potting soil: dig several small holes around it, bury 2-3g of bone meal in each hole, which allows it to absorb nutrients better, promote growth, and make the leaves even more emerald green.

Note one thing: when the temperature is higher than 35°C or lower than 15°C, stop fertilizing, otherwise it will cause root rot.

That is all for Money Tree care. If gardening friends have other additions, you can share them with everyone in the comment section below. To learn more about flower care, you can follow Huajianke!
