The lisianthus finally bloomed, and its misty blue lace-edged flowers are absolutely ethereal.

I have to say, little lisianthus grows really slowly at the seedling stage, and a few times the leaves got so wrinkled from the cold that I wanted to throw them out more than once.
But later on they still shot up pretty fast, and last week they finally had their first flowers, misty pink / pink mist color? I feel like it is still a bit different from the color I chose when buying the seeds, maybe because the temperature was too high.
I had seen finished potted lisianthus for sale at the flower market before, single-petaled ones, 10 yuan for a pot of three short seedlings. My husband said it was so cheap, why bother sowing seeds, just buy finished flowers to enjoy from now on. At the time I also felt a little unbalanced, so I bought a pot and brought it home, but after only a few days it felt like the flowering period was very short.
Now that the ones I grew myself have bloomed, by comparison seed-sown ones really are different. The longest-lasting single flower has now been open for a week and still looks pretty good, with no sign of fading, and it is double-petaled too.
At the seedling stage, seeing them grow slowly, and on the north balcony with no sunlight they got very leggy, I thought I would never sow them again. But now that they are blooming, I feel that actually I could still consider growing them again in the future. After all, aside from growing slowly and loving sunlight, the germination rate and survival rate are both quite high, and they do not suffer from pests or diseases either.
Let me add one more, Persian violet, which can rival little lisianthus for slow growth. But the better thing is that Persian violet can bloom while it grows, and now the spread has finally reached 20cm+, densely covered with tiny flowers, which was not easy at all.
