Many plant lovers enjoy growing pothos and buy several pots from the flower shop every year to take home, especially beginner plant lovers. But the pothos they bring home just won't thrive no matter what, and in the end all they have left are empty pots. Actually, if you love growing pothos, you don't need to buy it - just pinch a cutting from someone else's plant and it will root, with a survival rate as high as 99% when propagated this way. Let's take a look!

Propagating pothos is really very simple. Growing your own pothos not only saves money, but more importantly, it's a joy in itself. First, select a healthy pothos stem, cut off the lower leaves, and insert its base into clean water. You can appropriately add some white sugar solution or organic nutrient solution to the water, change the water 1-2 times a week, and in about 7 days it will quickly grow roots, with a very high survival rate.

You can also soak the pothos stem in a carbendazim disinfectant solution for a while, then remove the leaves from the bottom 1-2 nodes, and insert it into a pot filled with potting soil, inserting 3-5 stems per pot. Every morning, spray water around the flower pot to increase air humidity. As long as the temperature is suitable, it will quickly grow roots in about 7 days.

The pothos you propagate yourself gives you a great sense of accomplishment - a single stem can become dozens of pots, and even the balcony can't hold them all. What other good methods do fellow gardeners have? Feel free to leave a comment below and interact with us!
