Add one thing to the flower pot, and the potting soil becomes loose, breathable and nutritious, no need to change it for three years

In the process of growing flowers, sometimes we find that flowers we have kept for a long time do not grow taller, or their leaves turn yellow for no reason. When we dig into the soil, it is so compacted that even a hoe cannot dig through it. Do not underestimate the problem of potting soil compaction, it can easily cause the roots of potted flowers to lack air, root rot, and nutrients to fail to be supplied normally, causing the flowers to die.
Besides choosing special nutrient soil or formula soil when planting flowers, when using ordinary garden soil to grow flowers, you only need to add a little something to the pot, and it will be just as loose and breathable. Let me share 2 relatively simple methods with everyone.
1. Charcoal
Choose charcoal that has been completely burned through. It is very loose and also has a certain sterilizing effect, prevents plant root rot, and increases soil drainage.
How to use: Small particles of charcoal can be mixed directly with soil to grow flowers, increasing the soil's drainage capacity. If it is large-particle charcoal, just use it directly as a layer at the bottom of the flower pot.
2. Pine needles
Pine needles are really a very good medium for growing flowers. Pine needles can be seen in some parks or on hills in the countryside. Just cut some dry pine needles and sun them for a week, then they can be used to spread at the bottom of a flower pot or mixed into the soil.
Besides pine needles, the pine needle soil at the very bottom of pine needles is a very good leaf mold soil. It is not only loose and breathable, but also full of fertility. You can also collect some, water it with a carbendazim solution, then sun it for a week, and it can be used directly to grow flowers, which can make potted flowers grow better and stronger.
Note:
When collecting pine needle soil, the best point is the fully humified soil in the layer two cm below the soil surface.
Besides these 2, if there is fully burned honeycomb coal at home, after processing it is also a very good material for growing flowers, especially suitable for growing succulents.
