These days, plants like pothos, Chinese rose, and asparagus fern are grown in basically every household, because they are not only highly ornamental but also decorate the home environment well, but many people can only keep them alive and do not know how to grow them better.

1. Snake plant

The snake plant grows well under conditions of sufficient light. If it is placed in a too-dark spot indoors for too long, its leaves will turn dull and lose their vitality. At this point it needs to be taken out to get some sun.

2. Pothos

To grow pothos, use rice-washing water that has already been composted, fermented, and fully rotted; otherwise it will not only easily breed pests, but in serious cases can also cause root rot.

3. Chinese rose

The Chinese rose symbolizes "prosperity and a bright future." When growing it at home, be careful to keep it in a semi-dry state often, and do not let water accumulate at the roots, otherwise once the roots rot it will easily die.

4. Anthurium

Anthurium belongs to the Araceae family and is mildly toxic. The petals and sap of the anthurium are mildly toxic, so remember to wash your hands after each pruning of branches and leaves. It can be grown at home, but it is best placed outdoors or on a balcony.

5. Asparagus fern

Asparagus fern is rather sensitive. In summer, pay attention to keeping it moist, and occasionally spray a little water around it to maintain moisture. Be careful not to place it next to a television, or smoke around it. If you do, the asparagus fern will develop yellowing leaves.

6. Lucky bamboo

Lucky bamboo is prone to dry leaf edges or "air-conditioning sickness." When growing lucky bamboo, keep it as far as possible from household appliances such as air conditioners; the heat produced by their air outlets or heat vents will dry out the lucky bamboo leaves.

7. Clivia

When watering clivia, do not wait until the potting soil is dry before watering; water it when it is semi-dry. Keeping the potting soil moist from top to bottom at all times is good for its growth and development.

8. Fish tank

In the top filter compartment of the fish tank, where there is the most fertilizer, grow some flowers and plants, such as pothos, spider plant, copper coin grass, and so on. They not only have first-rate fertilizer-absorbing ability, but are also good-looking and easy to manage.

9. Pest control

Add more water to mashed garlic and pour it on the plants to kill aphids. Take smoked cigarette butts and soak them in boiling water overnight, then the next day use a spray bottle to water the flowers, and it can also kill aphids.

10. Cleanup

Clean up the dead branches and rotten leaves. After the plants recover from transplanting, just leave them for normal care, and generally they can recover within a few months without any special measures. Only in very serious cases do you need to replace the potting soil and prune the rotten roots.
