Soil: String of Hearts likes soil with good air permeability and strong drainage. Watering: Wait until the soil dries out before watering, and reduce the amount of water during the dormant period. Light: It likes being exposed to diffused light, and it must never be exposed to direct strong light. Temperature: 15-25°C, and it must not go below 10°C. In addition, the growing environment should also be regulated to prevent pest and disease infestation.

1. Soil

String of Hearts likes soil with good air permeability and strong drainage. Peat soil, perlite and river sand can be mixed together for use.

2. Watering

Each time you water, wait until the soil dries out before watering. In winter it enters the dormant period, so at this time reduce the amount of water or stop watering. Do not water too much at ordinary times, so as to avoid root rot caused by water accumulation; if the water accumulation is severe, it will cause the plant to die.

3. Light

String of Hearts likes being exposed to diffused light, and it must never be exposed to direct strong light. Especially in summer, strong sunlight will scorch it and may even affect its growth. In spring, autumn and winter it can appropriately receive morning sunlight, while in summer diffused light is enough, but it must not receive insufficient light either, otherwise the internodes will become leggy.

4. Temperature

The suitable growing temperature is between 15-25°C, at which it can grow more robustly and look more beautiful. The minimum temperature must not be lower than 10°C, otherwise it will suffer frost damage. In winter, when the temperature is relatively low, it is best to keep it indoors; in summer, place it on the balcony with appropriate ventilation.

5. Points to note

1. Pests and diseases: String of Hearts has strong disease resistance. If there is no infection from external pests and diseases, pests and diseases generally will not occur, but the growing environment should still be properly regulated and ventilated appropriately to reduce infection from external pests and diseases.

2. Repotting: Repotting at the right time allows it to grow better. It is best to choose early spring for repotting, and the soil should also be replaced. When repotting, you can prune it appropriately.
