As the weather gets hotter, the flowers and potted plants at home easily attract pests again, which is quite annoying. Today, I will teach you how to get rid of small bugs without insecticides, environmentally friendly and reliable.

1. Plant ash

The ash left after burning straw is a very good pest repellent. Just sprinkle a little in the flower pot, and when the smell it gives off is detected by small bugs, they will stay far away. This straw ash is also a very good fertilizer and can make plants grow stronger. Sprinkle the plant ash on the surface of the potting soil where there are fungus gnats, or mix it with the surface soil (a shallow layer is enough), then spray a little water to let it dissolve. It can effectively kill aphids, red spider mites, fungus gnats and others in the flower pot soil, both environmentally friendly and convenient, and effective.

2. Essential balm

Dilute essential balm 600 times, spray it on the branches and leaves, and it can prevent and control aphids, scale insects and moth and butterfly larvae.

3. Garlic for pest control

Garlic contains sulfur, which can sterilize and disinfect, and can also get rid of aphids, spider mites, cabbage white butterflies, slugs, ants and other pests, making it a very good choice for pest control. After peeling and mashing the garlic, add about twice its amount of water and mix evenly, then spray the solution on the surface of the plant leaves. When spraying the solution, be careful to first filter out the residue in the solution, and spray both the surface and the underside of the leaves.

Cut it into small pieces with a knife, place them on the surface soil of the potted flowers, and water normally, and in this way earthworms and ants will disappear.

4. Vinegar solution

Spraying edible vinegar on flower leaves can eliminate black spot disease, powdery mildew and leaf spot disease, and can also prevent and control chlorosis in camellias and azaleas.

5. Alcohol

Dip a writing brush in an appropriate amount of 75% alcohol and brush several times over the areas where scale insects are concentrated. Generally, the scale insects can be eliminated quickly. If there are many, you can dilute the alcohol with water and spray the leaves.

6. Citrus water solution

The peels of citrus fruits contain substances such as limonene, which can effectively kill aphids, fungus gnats and other pests, and can also have a mosquito-repellent effect.
