The snake plant (Sansevieria) is a common household plant, and watering is crucial when growing it, otherwise the plant will not only grow poorly but also easily die. Below is an introduction to watering methods for the snake plant; mastering the correct watering method will let your snake plant grow more and more vigorously, with thick leaves!

Watering tips for the snake plant:

(1). Spring and summer are the peak growing seasons for the snake plant, so it has a high demand for water. To meet its growth needs, appropriately increase the amount and frequency of watering. In summer, sprinkle some water on the leaves or into the air to maintain a certain air humidity, which can also lower the temperature; just water enough to keep the potting soil slightly moist.

(2). From late autumn to winter, watering needs to be reduced; when winter temperatures are low, watering needs to be stopped.

(3). Water more when it is flowering, but do not let water accumulate in the potting soil; too much water can also cause flower drop and root rot.

(4). When repotting, water thoroughly so the soil makes full contact with the roots, then just keep the soil moist for the following 2~3 weeks.

(5). Watering requires ventilation and light, otherwise root rot easily occurs; keep the leaves clean and often spray water on the leaves.
