From the itchy, meddling hands of my early days in the succulent hobby to my relaxed attitude now, I've also been through the painful experience of losing all my succulents. Though the method of growing succulents is very simple! But if you don't do regular prevention work, then pests, diseases and fungi will easily follow one after another. Succulents themselves shouldn't be domesticated by us into something so delicate.

So let the plants regularly face the test of wind, sun and rain, and take part in the competition for survival in nature - only then will succulents have the resistance that nature gives them! I rarely follow step by step the methods of some growing guru to care for my succulents; I choose to grow them entirely according to my own wishes. When I feel the leaves are soft, I water the plants; when I feel the succulents need some rain, I let them get two days of light rain.

Some succulent fans may think that growing them this way will lead to heavy losses, but the facts are quite the opposite. Actually, what most easily affects the survival of succulents are still mealybugs, root mealybugs and some fungi, and of course some varieties get small green caterpillars! But succulents that have taken part in the competition for survival and survived still have good resistance to these pests and fungi.

In the early stage when beginners grow succulents, it's quite normal for some to die, but the ones that remain are definitely the suitable ones (if you're still worried, you can mix a little carbendazim and Xiaobaiyao into the soil mix for prevention).

Succulents are actually very easy to grow; sometimes rough, extensive care makes them stronger instead, because the native environment of succulents is actually very harsh. When growing succulents, everyone should still give them an environment close to their native one. I once put dozens of pots of plants in the semi-shade of my courtyard, letting them face wind, sun and raging rainstorms. After a summer, the plants were actually much healthier than those on the balcony.

Of course, some relatively expensive premium plants definitely can't withstand the test of nature, so specific varieties still need specific treatment.

Haha, premium plants are actually just like the children in your own home - which parent would be willing to let them live in a painful environment?
