Lotus can be grown well in 3 steps, enjoying the flowers at home with the air conditioning on is truly relaxing

If you like growing flowers but don't know which flower to grow, then plant a lotus! Sitting at home, enjoying the flowers while basking in the air conditioning, it's incredibly relaxing!
The ancients said, "Emerging from the mud unstained, bathed in clear ripples without being coquettish," which is praise for the lotus. Its flower shape is elegant, its colors are delicate and refined, and small lotus varieties are great for pot cultivation, adding a strong decorative touch to the home. The pot cultivation method is also very simple and can be learned in one minute. Below I'll share it with everyone!
Sowing time: spring and summer
Materials to prepare: several mature seeds, a pot without drainage holes, pond mud
First soak the seeds in clean water, keeping the water clean and hygienic during this period, and place them in a bright spot with indirect light. They will sprout in about three days, and in 7 to 10 days a small green tail will grow, looking just like little tadpoles.
Soak the pond mud in clean water for two days, then place it in the prepared pot without drainage holes. Plant the sprouted seeds evenly in the pond mud, add water with the water level 1 to 2 cm from the edge of the pot, then place it in a spot with plenty of sunlight for care.
The planting method is very simple, now let me also share the daily care
Lotus is very afraid of drought, so keep the water in the pot sufficient and never let it run dry. If placed outdoors for care in summer, when rain is frequent, do not let the water submerge the leaves, and drain promptly.
Lotus relatively likes fertilizer. It is recommended to apply light fertilizer frequently, or you can put sufficient base fertilizer into the pond mud to promote the growth of the lotus, and then there will be no need for additional topdressing later.
Lotus likes light, and at least six hours of light must be guaranteed every day so that its leaves will be round, emerald green and glossy, and its flowers will be bright and beautiful. If it stays in a semi-shaded environment for a long time, it will grow poorly and its leaves will turn yellow.
During the care process, when the leaves grow too densely, promptly prune the overly dense branches and leaves to increase light penetration, so the overall plant shape grows vigorously and it is conducive to blooming.
Lotus can also suffer from pests and diseases, the most common being black spot disease, which can be treated by spraying a 50% carbendazim solution, with very remarkable results.
That's all for today's sharing about lotus!
