How to care for roses in summer? Remember 4 points for gorgeous, captivating blooms

Growing flowers not only decorates the home and beautifies the environment, but also lifts the spirits and pleases the eye, and roses are a common potted flower that is very popular. When caring for roses in summer, you need to know four "don'ts" so the flowers will be big, beautiful and absolutely stunning!
Don't use sticky soil
Roses do well in loose, fertile, well-draining sandy soil, so don't use plain sticky soil; poor drainage and aeration is bad for the rose roots' breathing and growth and easily leads to root rot. You can use peat soil plus coarse sand, and add a small amount of organic base fertilizer, such as decomposed chicken manure, rapeseed cake fertilizer and so on.
Don't apply too much nitrogen fertilizer
When fertilizing roses, don't apply too much nitrogen fertilizer. Nitrogen fertilizer mainly promotes root, branch and leaf growth, making the roots strong and the branches and leaves lush; but too much nitrogen causes the stems to grow leggy and the plant to stop blooming, which means more loss than gain! You can fertilize in two stages: during the growing period, apply some nitrogen fertilizer; when flower buds appear, spray a monopotassium phosphate solution to supplement phosphorus and potassium and promote blooming.
Don't water at noon
When watering roses in summer, never do it at noon. The weather is quite hot, and watering at noon, if drainage is poor and water accumulates, can breed large amounts of bacteria and cause the roots to rot, which means more loss than gain. You can water the roses in the morning. And on rainy days, water less!
Don't put the roses in a cramped corner
Don't put the roses in a corner; poor ventilation and no light easily bring pests and diseases to the roses, such as red spider mites and aphids, which readily come calling. So put it in a spot with good ventilation and plenty of light; this way it will grow strong, improve its disease resistance, and grow more and more vigorously!
When caring for roses, remember the four "don'ts" and the flowers will be stunningly beautiful!
