Do these 4 things for dahlias in summer and they will bloom big, bright and continuously

Dahlias are mainly famous for their long flowering period, large flower stems and abundant blooms, and are known as one of the world's famous flowers. They are perennial herbaceous plants with huge tuberous roots and a wide range of beautiful flower colors, and in recent years they have been deeply loved by flower growers.
Some flower growers report that the dahlias they grow are very lush but simply do not bloom. Today Hua'er will introduce tips for caring for dahlias, do these 4 things well and they will bloom continuously, big and bright!
1. Plenty of light
Dahlias are light-loving plants and are long-day plants. They cannot bloom when there is insufficient light. It is best to give them more than 12 hours of light every day. You can move them to a sunny area. When the light is too intense, you need to shade them and set up a shade frame, with a shading rate of 30%-50%, so that they can grow and bloom better.
2. A large temperature difference between day and night
Dahlias prefer a cool climate. Generally speaking, around 25°C during the day, as long as it does not exceed 30°C, is most suitable for growth. At night it is best to keep it at 15°C-18°C. You can move it to a relatively cool place, which is more helpful for bud formation and setting flower buds.
3. Moderate watering
Water dahlias in moderation and keep the potting soil appropriately dry, which is more beneficial to their growth. When you see signs of the potting soil turning pale, water thoroughly. Summer temperatures are higher and the air is also drier, so it is best to spray water on the leaves twice a day to increase leaf humidity and lower the temperature.
4. Plenty of fertilizer
Dahlias are fertilizer-loving plants and need sufficient nutrients. Apply thin fertilizer frequently, mainly cake fertilizer liquid fertilizer, apply little or no nitrogen fertilizer, and you can also spray 01% monopotassium phosphate on the leaves, which helps with bud formation and prolongs the flowering period.
One thing to note: summer temperatures are higher, and when the temperature exceeds 30°C, you should stop fertilizing, otherwise it can easily cause root burn.
