Many people develop some bad habits when growing flowers, unable to control their own hands, always thinking this is for the good of the flowers, but little do they know this is sending the flowers down the path to death!

1. Insufficient humidity

When indoor air humidity is insufficient, many flowers often show dull, lusterless leaves, scorched leaf edges or scorch spots, so clean water can be sprayed on the leaves regularly. When potted flowers are placed indoors for too long, a lot of dust accumulates on the leaf surface, which affects the plant's photosynthesis.

2. Watering flowers with overnight tea

After drinking strong tea, people pour the leftover tea into the flower pot. Many think the tea can supplement nutrients for the flowers, but tea raises the alkalinity of the soil, causing chlorosis and leading to the death of the flowers. At the same time, the tea leaves also attract insects, affecting the hygiene of flower growing and hindering the growth of the flowers, so never use tea to water flowers.

3. Disinfection of potting soil

The flower soil bought must be treated, otherwise after the fungal spores in the pot soil spread, they can infect a patient's skin, respiratory tract, external auditory canal, meninges and brain. They are especially harmful to organ transplant patients suffering from leukemia.

5. Watering without soaking through

When watering flowers, never just wet the surface of the potting soil and stop watering. This easily leads to insufficient water supply to the flower roots, causing the plant to drop leaves or even wither and die. So watering must soak through, and it can be done once the soil is dry.

6. Ventilation

The most important part of flower care is opening windows for ventilation. In a poorly ventilated room, flowers and plants will grow poorly, become deformed, or even die, and are also prone to pests and diseases.

7. Using minced meat as fertilizer

Some people bury minced meat scraps directly into flower pots to increase fertility, but doing so is harmful and not beneficial. This is because these organic substances consume a large amount of oxygen during fermentation, affecting the normal respiration of the root system, and the high temperature produced by fermentation burns the root system.

8. Pest and disease control

To prevent pests and diseases, highly toxic pesticides should not be used for indoor flower growing. The concentration of the liquid medicine must be strictly controlled, and medication safety must be noted. Avoid not pruning and shaping; reasonable pruning can make the flower plant healthy and handsome and the flowers delicate and beautiful.
