Some people's spider plants grow into a cascading waterfall, while others' spider plants are left with nothing but the pot. Yes, don't tell me you're that "plant killer"! To grow spider plants at home and have them grow like crazy nonstop, it all comes down to these few tips.

Caring for spider plants actually doesn't require any special method. Basically, just follow these 5 points and you'll be fine:

1. The best spot for a spider plant is a place with bright light and good ventilation, but remember not to expose it to scorching sun, which may cause yellowed or scorched leaves. And in an environment that is too shady, spider plant leaves are also prone to turning yellow.

2. Spider plants are not tolerant of waterlogging; once water accumulates, the roots easily rot. When watering, be sure to wait until the potting soil has dried out completely. In hot summer weather, mist the leaves frequently to maintain humidity.

3. Yellowed and rotten leaves on the spider plant should be removed promptly. This not only avoids excessive consumption of nutrients, but also prevents stem rot and root rot caused by yellowed leaves, and it looks better too.

4. Spider plants actually don't need fertiliser, but if you want that especially vigorous look, you can still apply a little dilute fertiliser, and disease resistance will also be better. Generally, fertilise in spring, summer and autumn; you can use decomposed organic liquid fertiliser, 1-2 times a month.

5. A well-growing spider plant easily fills its pot. We'd best repot it once a year in March-April. When repotting, trim the old roots and rotten roots, then replant it in a new pot. When repotting, you can also add some base material.

Spider plants are very easy to grow. Overall, it's just a good environment, correct watering, plus a little fertiliser, and you can make their leaves "bigger" than a dime and have them grow like crazy nonstop.
