For Christmas cactus cuttings, as long as the temperature is around 20 degrees, they can actually all take root successfully. It is best in spring and autumn, when the temperature is suitable. This is the peak growing season for Christmas cactus, and after the cuttings take root, they grow relatively quickly.

When taking Christmas cactus cuttings, it is best to use a single leaf for rooting. If the cutting is relatively large, it will recover more slowly and take longer to root and sprout. Choose a relatively robust leaf of the Christmas cactus and gently twist it off. Be careful not to damage the core of the Christmas cactus.

I think the easiest way to get Christmas cactus cuttings to survive is vermiculite rooting. Fill a flower pot with vermiculite, insert the Christmas cactus leaf into it, then place the pot in a tray with water. It can be placed in a spot with plenty of bright indirect light or a few hours of sunlight, but do not expose it to strong direct sun. Keep water in the tray at all times, and in about 20 days or so, the root system will be quite robust.

Then it can be transplanted. When transplanting, note that the soil must be loose and breathable. Gently place the Christmas cactus into the flower pot, slowly fill in the soil, and do not press it with your hands, so as to avoid damaging the roots.

After transplanting, water thoroughly. It is best to soak it in a tray for a while so the soil can fully absorb water and the roots can combine closely with the soil. Then place it in a spot with indirect light. After about 10 days, when new leaves begin to grow, it can be placed in a spot with light for care.

Give the Christmas cactus four or five hours of light each day, but do not expose it to strong direct sun. About every 10 days, spray it with monopotassium phosphate at a ratio of 1:1000. This can make the new leaves grow quickly and plumply.

These are all personal rooting tips. If everyone has any good methods, you can leave a comment in the comment section, and we can discuss them together.
