Grafting Schlumbergera onto cactus is relatively easy to succeed, and there are many grafting methods, such as flat grafting, vertical grafting, side grafting, areole grafting, and also the seamless grafting method. Friends who like grafting can give it a try, they are all relatively easy to succeed

After the graft succeeds, how should you care for it?

1. Light

Schlumbergera is a short-day flowering plant and cannot be exposed to light for a long time, so it is best to place Schlumbergera in a spot with four or five hours of light per day for care. Whether it is own-rooted Schlumbergera or grafted Schlumbergera, they all like this kind of light

2. Watering

For Schlumbergera grafted onto cactus, watering should follow the habits of the cactus. You must water thoroughly only after the soil has dried out completely. The soil must be loose and breathable. You can mix leaf mold, large-particle river sand, and garden soil. This kind of soil is loose and breathable, and it can also ensure the cactus is planted relatively firmly, so there will be no top-heavy situation.

3. Fertilizing

For Schlumbergera grafted onto cactus, because Schlumbergera needs to bloom and grows leaves relatively quickly, during the growth period of Schlumbergera, you should give the cactus one to two applications of dilute fertilizer water per month. You can use multi-element organic fertilizer diluted with water. During the bud pregnancy period of Schlumbergera, apply one to two applications of phosphorus and potassium fertilizer per month, such as monopotassium phosphate, at a ratio of 1:1000.

During the usual growth period, about every 15 days, you can spray the leaves with monopotassium phosphate at the same ratio, which can make new leaves grow very quickly.

These are all self-grafted Schlumbergera and Christmas cactus. The rootstocks include Pereskia, cactus, and triangular cactus. Don't they all grow very vigorously? If everyone uses this method for care, they can also grow this vigorously. If Schlumbergera is cared for well, it will have particularly many buds and be especially bright in color.
