For propagating Christmas cactus by cuttings, as long as the temperature is around 20 degrees, it can actually root successfully; spring and autumn are best, when the temperature is suitable and it is the peak growing season for Christmas cactus, and after the cuttings take root they also grow relatively fast

When propagating Christmas cactus by cuttings, it is best to use a single leaf for the cutting. If the cutting is relatively large, it will take longer to recover, and rooting and sprouting will be slow. Choose a relatively robust leaf of the Christmas cactus and twist it off slowly. Be careful not to damage the pith of the Christmas cactus

I think the easiest way to successfully root Christmas cactus cuttings is vermiculite propagation. Fill a flower pot with vermiculite, insert the Christmas cactus leaf into it, then place the pot in a saucer with water. It can be placed in a spot with plenty of bright indirect light or a few hours of sunlight, but do not expose it to harsh sun. Keep water in the saucer at all times, and in about 20 days or so, the roots will be quite robust

Then it can be transplanted. When transplanting, note that the soil must be loose and breathable. Gently place the Christmas cactus into the flower pot, slowly fill in the soil, and do not press with your hands, so as not to damage the roots

After transplanting, water thoroughly; it is best to soak it in a saucer for a while so the soil fully absorbs water and the roots and soil bind tightly together. Then place it in a spot with indirect light. After about ten days, when new leaves begin to grow, it can be placed in a spot with light for care

Give the Christmas cactus four or five hours of light every day, but do not expose it to harsh sun. About every ten days, spray it with monopotassium phosphate at a ratio of 1:1000, which can make the new leaves grow quickly and plump

These are all personal propagation tips. If you have any good methods, you can leave a comment in the comment section, and we can discuss them together
