Don't throw away the pineapple top after eating the fruit - you can grow a beautiful pineapple potted plant from it

Pineapple is sweet and sour and pleasant to eat, and many people love it. Every time you finish a pineapple, don't throw away the remaining pineapple top - keep it and you can grow a beautiful pineapple potted plant, which not only beautifies your home environment but also purifies the air!
How to grow a pineapple potted plant
1. When buying a pineapple, choose a fresh, ripe one with bright green leaves on top.
2. Cut off the top of the pineapple, use a knife to cut off the leaf crown, and remove the flesh.
3. Tear off the lower leaves of the leaf crown, exposing about 4 cm of bare stem at the base.
4. Place the trimmed leaf crown in a shaded, ventilated spot for 1-2 days to let the wound dry and heal, which prevents the pineapple from rotting.
5. Once the wound on the leaf crown has dried, prepare a transparent cup, add purified water, and place the leaf crown inside so the root stem is soaked in about 3 cm of water. Keep it in a bright, ventilated spot and change the water every 2 days.
At higher temperatures, roots will form in 3 weeks. In winter, keep it in a warm place, mist the surrounding air often to maintain humidity, and shade it from the sun. Change the water frequently before rooting; after rooting, wait until the water becomes cloudy before changing it.
When the roots of the pineapple leaf crown reach 2-5 cm, transfer it to soil, or you can continue growing it in water.
Prepare a loose, fertile, well-draining, slightly acidic soil and make sure it has good drainage and aeration. You can mix garden soil directly with compost, peat soil and river sand, and choose a well-draining flower pot for planting.
