Hui has been in a really low mood lately. Hey, why is it that something as good as growing succulents always has people coming to stir things up and ruin the good mood of growing them!

Hui refuses to believe it: in your succulent-growing life, you definitely, definitely must have run into those really annoying people too. Even though we smile on the surface, inside we are rolling our eyes to the sky! After all, life is a drama and it all depends on acting skills~

Still remember last week when Hui quietly asked you to share the most annoying people you have met while growing succulents? The weirdos cannot all be encountered by Hui alone, right? We also have to take a look at your miserable experiences so Hui can have a laugh.

Haha just kidding. Today Hui wants us to unite on one front and righteously denounce these bugs in our succulent-growing lives!

Bug 1, people who are into succulents for three minutes

Because our succulents are so beautiful, they naturally make many ordinary mortals fall in love at first sight and capture a large batch of little fans. In the end, some people, like me, Hui, after being washed by time, get promoted to hardcore fans.

Of course, many people also grow them for a while, find it boring, and then scramble right out of the hobby.

Everyone has different aspirations, so there is nothing to argue about, but what Hui wants to call out are those people who quit the hobby themselves and then insist on thinking there is something wrong with us.

These people think they are truly brilliant, that we are all fools, still revolving around a bunch of succulents and struggling hopelessly in a deep pit.

Since that is the case, Hui wants to say to everyone who once quit the hobby: when you come, settle in and be at ease. I am very comfortable staying in the succulent pit. I am the holdout here, and even demolition cannot drive me away!

I also want to say to everyone who has come into the succulent circle or is still watching from the sidelines: if you leave, I will not see you off; if you come, no matter how strong the wind and rain, I will go to meet you.

Bug 2, people who grow them badly themselves yet still point fingers

We never look down on people who do not grow succulents well; we only disdain people who grow them badly and still love to point fingers. Clearly everyone is about the same, yet some people insist on feeling superior to others.

If someone grows succulents badly, he turns up his nose at them; if someone grows them well, he says it is only because their care conditions are better than his. In short, you are the most amazing person in the whole world, all right?

The less people understand, the more they think they know everything, and they will even say your soil mix is wrong, your pot pairing is ugly, and your succulents cannot show their best condition.

If it is truly sincere exchange between succulent lovers, then at least first put yourself in the right position and treat every succulent with an equal attitude. If you really do have better insights, there is no harm in speaking them openly and also acknowledging your own shortcomings. It is said that people with flaws sometimes seem more likable, and Hui thinks this saying is absolutely right.

Bug 3, people who live right by the Pacific Ocean

When it comes to money, it is an eternal conflict. If you grow common succulents, someone will say: "Why are they all common goods? They are not worth anything at all." If you grow expensive ones, someone will say: "Your brain must be waterlogged, spending so much money growing succulents!"

These people really worry themselves sick over us succulent lovers, but people who have never grown succulents truly will not understand this mentality: whether they are valuable or not, I love them, and however much I spend, it is my money.

When others spend money on smoking and drinking, is that not money? When they buy lipstick and handbags, is that not money? When they spend, it is not one bit more frugal than growing succulents, so why should we be questioned!

For such a healthy hobby of ours, does no one want to praise it? Growing succulents and enjoying flowers in leisure time is absolutely cultivating body and mind, and you can also make many like-minded friends.

Moreover, many people have even expanded their careers because of growing succulents, discovered a whole new world, and from then on reached the peak of life. What an inspiring plant.

Simply giving a little more for something you love, is that not also a kind of happiness?

Bug 4, showing off wealth and belittling common succulents

Exactly how good is the life of rich people? Hui does not know either, but people who show off everywhere really are not necessarily as good as they say.

Although if you bring a pile of luxury goods to show off to me, I cannot tell, but if you bring a ring of succulents to show off to me, I will see through you at a glance!

Hui is not resentful of the rich, really. Hui wishes he could become a rich person so you could resent me. It is just that some succulent lovers who grow a whole house of expensive succulents think growing common goods is very low and cheap.

On this point Hui really feels it is unfair. Among our succulent lovers, a very large portion grow beloved common succulents and feel very happy themselves. Always comparing will instead make it meaningless.

You can have your own preferences, but do not use those preferences to judge others.

Hui also hopes every succulent lover can find their own balance. No matter what kind you grow, only you know how precious it is.

Bug 5, freebie-beggars

About all the endless complaints regarding freebie-beggars, Hui also knows you have all suffered from them. Anyway, whether you give or not, it is wrong.

If we do not give, we are stingy. If we do give, they complain our succulents are hard to grow. If they grow them badly, they bring them back for us to redo. When that is done, they want to take them back and abuse them again.

What kind of mentality is this? If you are so bored, please go scroll Douyin or play Wangzhe, all right? Our succulents have life and feelings!

If you really like them, then go buy your own. If you truly have your eye on this one of mine, I will reluctantly sell it to you for 10 times the price. Do you want it or not?

There is also that kind of person who, after being given one, still wants to pick and choose. I ask you to roll away round and round. Only transactions and trades allow choosing. You have not even given me money, yet you still want to pick and choose. We really feel wronged.

Even when we feel so wronged, we cannot say anything, otherwise we will be called stingy again. Succulent life is truly hard!

Hui still wants to say: never be a person who only knows how to take, no matter what it is about.

Bug 6, succulent thieves

This kind of person is even worse than freebie-beggars. Is this the collapse of morality or the loss of humanity? When it comes to stealing succulents, it really makes people feel helpless.

Because this situation is relatively rare for fellow succulent lovers to encounter, it is not discussed much, but once you run into it, you will understand: cold despair.

At least with freebie-beggars there is still room for negotiation, right? You can still soften the blow with common goods, so the loss is not too severe.

But succulent thieves give you surprises at every moment, oh no, shocks. You never know which pot of succulents will disappear next. This old man does not want to experience such thrills. When you get older, your heart is just not that good.

Running into these kinds of people is truly awful. Hui really wrote this article full of sincerity (and resentment) while wiping away tears. Tomorrow Hui will still be that shed owner full of positive energy. So what do you want to see? Tomorrow I will show you.
