A vibrant, spirited plant, named the "Tree of Happiness" because of people's wishes for blessings, wealth and peace, symbolizing happiness and peace. People can store their wishes in cards and hang them on the tree to pray. The bean tree (Radermachera sinica) is native to Taiwan, China, Guangdong, Hainan, Yunnan and other places in China, and of course it is also distributed in India, the Philippines, Bhutan and other countries.

The scientific name of the "Tree of Happiness" is Radermachera sinica, with aliases such as pepper tree, bone-setting parasol, mountain bean tree and so on. It is a very precious indoor ornamental plant, graceful in form, dense and verdant, with dancing shadows of leaves. "Bean tree" sometimes refers to the ornamental plants collectively called "Polyscias" in the genus Polyscias of the family Araliaceae, and sometimes to the "bean tree" of the genus Radermachera in the family Bignoniaceae.

Besides being used as medicine, its roots, leaves and fruits have the effect of cooling the blood and reducing swelling, and can also treat high fever, bruises and injuries, venomous snake bites and other ailments. In addition, because the wood of the bean tree is yellowish-brown, somewhat coarse and heavy, with distinct annual rings, it is used as building material. Of course, the bean tree can also be grown as a small or medium-sized potted plant, placed on balconies, in bedrooms, entrance halls and other places.
