The world is full of wonders, and this saying could not be more fitting for the plant kingdom. In the plant kingdom there are all kinds of peculiar plants: some wild grasses have an incredibly foul smell, some trees have strange-smelling flowers or produce unusual wild fruits. However, recently the author learned of a foreign wild tree that is even more peculiar: every part of it is spicy. Take a bite of its bark or leaves, and it is like eating chili peppers. This tree is the "moringa tree."

In the afternoon, a relative of the author brought back a package of something rare. Upon opening it, it turned out to be moringa seeds. The relative said these were remarkable goods, an imported health supplement, 500 yuan per jin. The author was startled upon hearing this. Something so dark and unremarkable actually costs 500 yuan? So the author looked up information on moringa seeds.

Moringa seeds are the seeds of the moringa tree. According to records, the moringa tree is a wild tree native to India, later developed by people into a food tree.

Since ancient times, the moringa tree has provided Indian vegetarians with the nutrition they need daily, and it is relatively easy to cultivate. Therefore, the planting of moringa trees was promoted in Africa, and it was adopted by the United Nations as an aid project to address food shortages in Africa. In recent years, the dietary and medicinal value of moringa has been widely recognized, and in developed countries it has become an emerging health food ingredient. Especially in Japan, the value of the moringa tree is even higher, and Japanese people call it the "miracle tree," the "incredible tree," and so on.

So why is the moringa tree so highly praised by foreigners? It turns out that an American doctor discovered that the moringa tree is super rich in nutrients. From minerals such as potassium, calcium, phosphorus and iron to vitamins A, B, C, D and E as well as amino acids, it has almost everything. Moreover, the calcium contained in the moringa tree is 4 times that of milk, potassium is 3 times that of bananas, iron is 3 times that of spinach, vitamin C is 7 times that of oranges, and vitamin A is 4 times that of carrots.

Research has also found that, besides being nutrient-rich, the moringa tree has medicinal value and can treat many conditions including eczema, housewife's hand dermatitis, athlete's foot, heat-related headaches, osteoporosis, diabetes, neurasthenia, rheumatic joint pain and more.

Because of this, the moringa tree has become a "money tree" in India and in rural areas of southern China. Especially in rural areas of Yunnan and Guangxi, quite a few farmer friends specifically grow moringa trees. It is understood that on the market the price of moringa seeds ranges from 100 yuan to 300 yuan, mainly depending on their size. However, while looking up information on the moringa tree and moringa seeds, the author also found that there are many scams involving moringa seeds on the market, mainly claiming that these moringa seeds are purely wild from India or Africa, and thus marking the price of moringa seeds at over 500 yuan per jin. In addition, although moringa seeds do indeed have health benefits, not everyone can eat them; people with poor digestion are not suited to eating them.

So when you see this, do not be fooled by moringa seed scams. Especially be careful with moringa seeds claimed to cost over 500 yuan per jin; do not believe it blindly.

Dear friends, have you ever seen a moringa tree or moringa seeds? You are welcome to leave a comment and share.
