Five key points for the daily care of Sedum lineare: a laid-back plant suited to laid-back cultivation

Sedum lineare is a herbaceous plant, lush and green all year round, generally grown in home courtyards, rooftops, balconies and other places. Sedum lineare is also very laid-back when it comes to daily care, and can be called a lazy person's plant. It is extremely tolerant of heat, drought and severe cold. Although laid-back management can be somewhat rough and ready, the necessary care must never be omitted, otherwise it will grow poorly, or may even die off completely. Below, the flower lovers' group introduces the cultivation methods for Sedum lineare to fellow flower lovers:
Sedum lineare
1. Soil
Sedum lineare is robust by nature and tolerant of poor, thin soil, growing normally in all kinds of loam, whether clayey or sandy. When grown in a pot, a relatively small flower pot can be used, and the potting soil can be a growing medium mixed from ordinary garden soil and a small amount of river sand.

2. Light
Sedum lineare has a trait of "responding to light". In a sunny spot, its leaves are yellow-green; if moved to a slightly shadier spot, the leaves turn a deeper green. If it lacks light for a long time, its stems and vines grow excessively lush, the internodes stretch out, and the plant becomes less compact.

3. Temperature
It can tolerate cold slightly. In cold winter, as long as the temperature is not below 10°C, it can still grow fairly well. If it can be placed in a sunny, wind-sheltered spot, and the potting soil is not too dry or too wet, it will not suffer frost damage, and can grow vigorously again the following spring.
4. Watering
When spring temperatures turn warm and Sedum lineare begins to sprout, watering should be generous, taking care to keep the soil moist. By April to May, it can be kept a little drier, as this plant is relatively drought-tolerant. If there is too much water at this time and the potting soil is too wet, it will instead grow poorly.

5. Fertilizing
During the growing season of Sedum lineare, it is best to water with rotted manure once a month, which can make it grow verdant and vigorous, with stems and vines trailing over the sides. By May to June, it will bloom more, growing yellow flowers all over the pot and creating a very good ornamental effect.
