Don't throw away this trash; using it to grow flowers works amazingly well

Everyone says that growing flowers burns through money and that there are plenty of materials you need to buy. Actually, many things in daily life can be used to grow flowers, and even some trash we don't want works surprisingly well when used for growing flowers.
The three kinds of waste below are very common in our daily lives, but most people don't know they can also be put to use for growing flowers. Isn't it a real shame to just throw them away? Let's take a look~
Foam boxes
When we shop online or buy groceries, we all end up with these white foam boxes. Some friends use them to store things, while others may not need them and just throw them away. Actually, they can absolutely be used to grow flowers, or to grow some vegetables, and they are very suitable for placing on a balcony.
Foam boxes are waterproof and insulated, making them very suitable for growing some plants and vegetables. Some flowers and plants with shallow root systems are even better suited to being grown in foam boxes.
When using a foam box to grow flowers, you need to drill a few drainage holes in the bottom of the box to achieve drainage and airflow, thereby preventing water from accumulating in the box and causing the plants' roots to rot.
Torn stockings
Many women wear stockings in summer, and sometimes they accidentally snag them and tear holes in them, which really affects their appearance. They can't be worn anymore, but throwing them away feels like a waste. Actually, torn stockings are a capable helper for growing flowers.
Cut off a piece of discarded stockings with scissors and lay it over the drainage hole at the bottom of the flower pot. This can effectively prevent the potting soil from clogging the drainage hole, allowing both airflow and drainage, with excellent results.
If the potted plant is relatively small, such as a succulent, you can take the flower out of the pot, slip the stocking directly over the root system, and then put it into the flower pot. Moreover, torn stockings can also be used to store plant bulbs. Stockings have good breathability, so just put the bulbs into the stockings and place them in a cool, ventilated spot.
Rotten vegetable leaves
Every time we wash vegetables, there are always some leaves that get thrown away. Actually, they can absolutely be put to use for growing flowers.
Place these rotten vegetable leaves in a sealed container, pour in some water, and put it in a warm place with sunlight. After about a month, the fermentation will be complete. Use this fermented vegetable-leaf water to water your flowers. The effect is no worse than fertilizer, and it is also eco-friendly. The leaves become glossy green, very nice.
After seeing these magical ways to reuse waste, gardening friends, don't just toss these things out next time. Put them to use, and you will both save money and grow better flowers.
