Growing flowers has become a pleasure in modern people's lives, but growing flowers is different from other home decorations. Flowers are living things, and they need careful tending to present you with the beautiful scene of green leaves and red blossoms. Especially young people today, who know nothing about growing plants, always think that growing flowers is so hard. But for people who often deal with plants, growing flowers is a piece of cake, as easy as can be. Now articles about growing flowers are everywhere, leaving everyone confused and not knowing what to do. Today the editor will share with you his most genuine years of experience and methods for growing flowers, so that everyone can grow flowers well simply.

Now all kinds of methods for growing flowers are everywhere, and only beginners care about these methods; people who truly have experience growing flowers will not even look at them. These so-called methods and tips only leave beginners at a loss. I started following my father to grow flowers and sell them at the market when I was a teenager. Although I no longer sell flowers now, I have always kept many flowers at home. Over all these years, I think growing flowers is not as complicated as others say; it is very simple. To grow flowers, you only need to know about potting, watering, temperature and location, and there is no need to look for any secrets or special tricks.

To grow flowers, you must first learn how to pot them, which means taking a flower out of its pot and planting it in another pot. The things used for planting flowers are flower pots, flower soil and fertilizer. Flower pots can be chosen according to your own preference; as long as there are holes in the bottom, any of them can be used for planting flowers. Flower soil should not be chosen so casually; you must choose a soil texture that feels loose and breathable. Flower soil is generally easy to find in rural areas, but a bit difficult in cities. But it does not matter; for growing flowers at home, generally not much soil is needed, and you can just buy some flower soil from the market. However, bought flower soil is a bit less than ideal and needs to be mixed with sand and organic fertilizer before use ﹝organic fertilizer is generally sold at flower markets﹞. Actually, instead of buying flower soil, it is better to buy worm castings directly; after buying them, you can use them directly for potting flowers, and there is no need to fertilize. The effect is good and it is worth recommending.

Once you have flower soil, you can plant the flowers. First put a layer of stones at the bottom of the pot; the stones can be chosen according to the specific local conditions, and crushed brick pieces, volcanic stone, coal furnace slag and so on are all fine. After lining the bottom of the pot, spread a thin layer of flower soil on top of the lining, then sprinkle a layer of organic fertilizer on top. The organic fertilizer can be fermented chicken manure, sheep manure, bean cake and so on, or you can directly buy fermented organic fertilizer. After spreading the organic fertilizer, you can fill in soil and plant the flowers. The depth of the flower soil can be adjusted according to the size and height of the plant, but when transplanting, the roots must not directly touch the fertilizer and must be separated from it by soil. After planting, water it and place it in a cool, airy place.

After flowers are transplanted or repotted, all that remains is to master watering and temperature well. For indoor growing, you can place them in a bright place near a window; for outdoor growing, you can place them under a tree; for balcony growing in summer, you can use a shade net for appropriate shading. Temperature is generally easy to manage; usually you do not need to bother with it, and you only need to pay attention to protection from freezing in winter. The key is ordinary watering, and you do not need to water every day. For ordinary flowers, as long as you see that the top of the soil in the pot is all dry soil, you can water; if there is wet soil on top, then there is no need to water. This is also easy to master, and after some time you will naturally get the hang of the pattern. It is just that simple. Apart from using organic fertilizer when repotting, potted flowers generally do not need any additional fertilizing at other times; you only need to buy a little foliar fertilizer and often use a spray bottle on the leaves and branches of each pot. This is because potted flowers generally need to have their pot soil changed every two to three years, and by the time the nutrients in the pot are exhausted, it is exactly time to change the soil. Therefore, to grow flowers, you only need to master flower soil, potting, watering and growing location, and you can grow flowers very well. It is not hard at all.
