Why are my succulents all thin and shriveled, while other people's succulents are so plump? It's just like children of the same age: other people's babies grow chubby, while yours are thin and small. How exactly are they raised?

We all know that once a baby reaches a certain age, it can no longer live on milk alone. You have to add supplementary food for them so that nutrition is complete and they can easily grow chubby. If nutrition cannot keep up, they not only get sick often, but also stay short and small and do not grow taller.

Succulents are the same. When they are first planted, they seem fine, because granular soil itself contains a certain amount of nutrients. If after 1-2 months you still do not add "supplementary food" for them, their nutrition will not keep up, and they definitely will not grow plump.

How do you add supplementary food for succulents?

Succulents like finely chopped supplementary food. We can use apple peels, banana peels, leftover meat, and a little eggshell, cut them with a knife into tiny pieces, then put them into a mineral water bottle. Be careful to fill it only one third full, then add one third water, leaving one third of the space, close the lid tightly, and put it in the sun to bake for 3 months.

If no meat is added, it generally ferments well in 1 month. If meat is added, the fermentation time needs to be longer, because meat contains a great deal of protein and fat. After fermentation, the nutrients will be more complete and balanced. Compared with fermenting only banana peels and fruit peels, it contains more nitrogen, phosphorus, potassium and trace elements, and can promote succulents to grow plump and the plants to become strong.

If flower lovers find it troublesome, they can still use ready-made organic fertilizer, fermented from sugarcane bagasse abundantly produced in Guangxi. It is natural and non-irritating, safe and reliable, promotes succulent roots to absorb nutrients, and growing plump and chubby is a small matter.

The well-fermented organic fertilizer should be diluted with water 100 times and poured onto the succulent soil. Be careful not to pour it on the leaves, to avoid unnecessary damage. Use a special dropper bottle for succulents and drip it into the granular soil, and it can very well promote succulent growth.
