Question 1: The office plant is getting more and more wilted, what should I do? It rained a lot a while ago, so I did not water it much, I only misted the leaves a few times - and when I first got it, I put it in the sun -

Editor's answer

Although it is early summer, the weather is already very hot, and moving it straight outdoors into the sun will make it faint from the heat. Besides, after several overcast days, suddenly exposing it to the sun makes wilted leaves normal. Before the pothos leaves turn yellow, move it indoors to care for it.

Another reason the leaves are soft is lack of water. You must not have watered it for a long time, so the leaves have lost some water. Water the pothos and mist it often, and it will slowly recover.

Question 2:

How should pothos be grown in water? I really like plants, but growing flowers indoors makes me worry that soil will dirty the furniture and floor, so I think water-grown plants are the best.

Editor's answer

Growing pothos in water is relatively simple. From an existing plant, cut sections each with more than 3 nodes and about 10-15 cm long of normal, healthy stems, remove the lower leaves, and put them in clean water - it is that easy. Note that when taking cuttings for water culture, it is best to choose stems with aerial roots, so that when inserted in water they can quickly grow roots and become established.

Pothos can be grown in water in all four seasons. In the early stage of water culture, change the water 1-2 times a week, and after about 2 weeks new roots will sprout, after which you can extend the time between water changes. If you use tap water for water culture, be sure to let the tap water sit in the sun for 1 or 2 days before using it.

Question 3: I just got my third pot, and I have killed two pots. Please, experts, give me some guidance.

Editor's answer

The branches and leaves are too dense, so the leaves do not get good ventilation and light. Especially when summer comes and the weather is hot and stuffy, it is very easy for pests and diseases to strike. You can divide it into two pots, or cut a few stems to grow in water. Also, do not water too much; too much water easily causes root rot.

Question 4: If roots grow like this, how long should the roots be before I can plant it in soil?

Editor's answer

This plant lover has grown the pothos very well. With pothos like this, even if it has not grown roots yet, it can still be planted in soil! I hope all pothos lovers can grow pothos as robust as this plant lover's!
