Hyacinths come in different colors - red, white, purple, pink and yellow. Planting or water-growing several colors each is what hyacinth fans pursue. But although many people are fans of hyacinths, they don't know how to handle them after the flowering period so they can bloom again the next year. Today the editor will share this with you.

The hyacinth flowering period is not very long - from blooming to starting to fade it is only about two or three weeks.

Watching the beautiful hyacinth gradually fade leaves you with mixed feelings, but in order to see the flowers again next year, you have no choice but to pave a "way out" for it.

After the flowers of a water-grown hyacinth fade, cut the flower stalk off at the stem, use a green mountain pot or a slightly smaller flowerpot, and replant the bulb.

Handling a soil-grown hyacinth after the flowering period is also very simple - just cut it off directly from the base of the flower stem. As follows:

After cutting, place the flowerpot in a place with good light, water and fertilize regularly. This is usually called "growing the bulb". After caring for it this way for a period of time, wait until the leaves wither, then dig out the bulb, cut off the roots, wrap it well in paper and put it in the refrigerator to chill. Next year you can take it out and plant it again.

Although this method can be carried on continuously, the quality of the bulb will gradually deteriorate due to climate and pests and diseases, becoming smaller and smaller. Generally, the flowers that bloom in the third year no longer have such good ornamental value, and by then you have no choice but to ruthlessly throw away the bulb and buy a new one.
