Yellowing leaves on propagated pothos? Spray this liquid fertilizer and the leaves will be glossy green with strong roots, filling the pot in a few months

Pothos is an extremely common potted plant. Almost every friend who grows flowers at home keeps one pot or several pots of pothos. Pothos also counts as one of the easiest potted plants to grow - you can just snap off a branch and propagate a pot. But why do propagated pothos plants develop yellow leaves and thin leaves?
Newly propagated pothos will always show thin leaves and yellowish leaf color. Actually, at this point, the pothos cannot truly be considered alive yet, because its root system has not grown well and cannot absorb many nutrients. It is only consuming the nutrients from the branch to sustain itself, so it shows a state of malnutrition. At this time, photosynthesis is very weak, and the chlorophyll in the leaves is relatively low, so yellowing leaves appear.
As the root system gets better and better, the pothos will absorb more and more nutrients, and this yellow leaf problem will quickly improve. This period may take a bit longer, possibly over a month or even longer. We just need to wait patiently and not be anxious.
If you want the leaves of newly propagated pothos to grow a bit better, you can spray a little dilute liquid fertilizer on the leaves. Because the root system has not grown well yet, spraying foliar fertilizer on the leaves will have the effect of fertilizing outside the roots, making the leaves become glossier and greener.
Never fertilize at the roots. Wait until the leaves show obvious growth, which means the root system has grown well. Then you can give it a little dilute liquid fertilizer every month, which will make the pothos grow vigorously and deep green.
Newly propagated pothos should not be watered too frequently. The potting soil should be kept appropriately dry. For replenishing water, use the method of watering less and spraying more, which is more beneficial for root development. Watering too much makes the newly grown tender roots more prone to suffocation, aging, or rot, which further affects the growth of the pothos.
In this way, with patient care for about a month, the propagated pothos can grow normally. Place it in a spot with plenty of scattered light. In summer, if the weather is too hot, you can water the pothos a bit more to keep the potting soil moist. Apply organic fertilizer or compound fertilizer mainly based on nitrogen fertilizer once or twice a month, applying dilute fertilizer frequently. The pothos will grow very quickly, and the leaves will also be emerald green and glossy.
