What are the common reasons why Cymbidium sinense does not bloom?

There are several reasons why Cymbidium sinense does not bloom: if it is a lack of light, then place it in the sun for a few hours every day. If it is insufficient temperature, adjust it to 18-21°C, and keep the temperature difference between morning and evening at around 10°C. If it is due to overwatering, then watering must be controlled. If it is a lack of fertilizer, then it needs a proper increase in fertilizing.

1. Increase light

1. Reason: For Cymbidium sinense to grow flowers, light is very important. Usually, it needs two to three hours of light per day before it can grow flower buds. There is a factor that can be used to tell: if its leaves are very emerald green, that means the light is sufficient. If the leaf color is rather dull, then the light duration is not enough.

2. Solution: The plant needs to be placed in the sun for two to three hours every day. Check by the standard whether its light is sufficient. If there is too much light, the leaves will be slightly yellow, and it needs to be shaded.

2. Adjust the temperature

1. Reason: Temperature is quite important for its blooming, especially the temperature difference between day and night, which is a very important factor in controlling its blooming; generally the difference needs to be kept at around ten degrees. The daytime temperature is best between eighteen and twenty-one, while at night it needs to be around seven to ten degrees. If the temperature is very high, the flower buds easily drop, and the leaves also become very wilted. If the temperature is very low, it also easily develops spots, and flower bud growth is very unsuitable. Of course, when blooming, low temperature can also cause brown dark spots on the petals, and flower quality will also be affected.

2. Solution: The temperature needs to be controlled well; when it is high, lower the temperature artificially, and when it is low, take measures to raise the temperature. In addition to the daytime temperature, also pay attention to the nighttime temperature and maintain a good day-night temperature difference.

3. Reduce water

1. Reason: If there is too much water, Cymbidium sinense easily grows excessively, and flower buds are very hard to grow.

2. Solution: During the care process, do not water it too much; care for it reasonably, and only then will its flower buds be relatively normal.

4. Increase phosphorus and potassium fertilizer

1. Reason: During ordinary care, a lot of fertilizer may have been applied, and the plant grows very fast, but it will not bloom; this is mainly because the type of fertilizer applied is inappropriate.

2. Solution: In addition to nitrogen fertilizer, also apply some potassium fertilizer and phosphorus fertilizer, so that the plant's blooming will be normal.
