What are the reasons why clematis does not bloom?
1. Prune at the right time
1. Reason: The most common reason why clematis does not bloom is poor pruning. Its pruning time is not fixed, and when to prune must be determined according to the flowering time of the variety. If we do not take the trouble to learn about its related varieties and characteristics, when pruning we may very likely cut off its more important branches, or cut off its flower buds, and at that point it will be very difficult for it to bloom.
2. Solution: When pruning normally, it is best to first understand this characteristic of it, then combine this with its entire growth process, and then work out the specific time and method, after which you can proceed according to that method.
2. Provide light
1. Reason: Lack of light can also make it difficult for it to bloom. Only with sufficient light can it grow well and be able to bloom. If there is no light, the leaves are very likely to turn yellow, and the plant is also very likely to become leggy, and in the end it will only grow leaves and not flowers.
2. Solution: When the plant does not have sufficient light, we should place it at the edge of a balcony or in a place where it can be exposed to the sun. Only in this way can it bloom normally.
3. The plant is very small
It may also fail to bloom because it has not yet grown up, in which case you only need to care for it normally.
4. Dormant period
If it is in a dormant period, it will not bloom either, so do not worry too much; just care for it normally.
