What causes strawberries not to bloom?
1. Switch varieties
1. Cause: There are many kinds of strawberries, and different varieties bloom at different times, and the number of flowers the plants produce also differs. Some varieties have a relatively high ratio of RNA to DNF and bloom more easily, while some kinds have a relatively low ratio of this and are harder to bring into bloom.
2. Solution: Some varieties are indeed harder to bring into bloom, so when planting you can choose a variety that blooms easily.
2. Adjust temperature and light
1. Cause: Temperature and light have a great influence on its physiological processes, which is also related to the accumulation of its nutrients and indirectly affects the formation of its flower buds.
2. Solution: Normally it needs a temperature of 20°C and about 12 hours of light, so that it blooms more easily.
3. Manage water and fertilizer
1. Cause: If there is too much nitrogen fertilizer, the plant will grow leggy, and the flowering time will be delayed. Overwatering is the same.
2. Solution: Reduce the amount of nitrogen fertilizer applied and increase the amount of phosphorus and potassium fertilizer applied, and control watering, not watering too much.
4. Remove leaves at the right time
1. Cause: By removing leaves for it, flowering can be induced, and removing old leaves is more useful than removing new leaves, because old ones contain more substances that inhibit flowering.
2. Solution: When there are many old leaves, cut the leaves off, but leaf removal needs to be kept in moderation; do not remove too many.
