Lucky bamboo summer care methods to help it get through the hot summer safely

In China, bamboo holds an extremely high status in the hearts of scholars and literati, and many poets have praised bamboo's noble character, calling it a "gentleman", which is why bamboo has also become a very popular potted plant, especially the current hydroponic plants, even more so. How should we care for hydroponic plants in summer?
1. Placement
The placement of lucky bamboo is very important. In summer, it needs to be placed in a relatively bright spot indoors, preferably somewhere with flickering light. Never place it in a drafty spot or somewhere hit by a fan or air conditioner, as this will cause it to dry out and drop leaves. It also should not be placed next to electrical appliances, as appliances generally emit radiation, which will also cause leaf drop.
2. Hydroponic timing
Actually, although summer temperatures are higher, the most suitable seasons for hydroponics are also summer or autumn, because the temperature at this time is more suitable for the growth of lucky bamboo, and it is also the peak growth period for lucky bamboo, which means the rooting rate of hydroponic lucky bamboo will be greatly increased.
3. Hydroponic medium
Many people are curious about what kind of water is best for hydroponic lucky bamboo. Actually, rainwater or well water is best. If you do not have those, tap water is also fine, but it needs to be left to sit for more than 24 hours so the nitrogen can be released before use. Also, the water for hydroponics needs to be changed about once every 10 days. When changing the water, you can add a few drops of baijiu to the water to achieve a disinfecting effect.
4. Control light exposure
Lucky bamboo prefers diffused light. If it is kept in direct sunlight for a long time, the leaves will turn yellow and fade, and in severe cases they will scorch and die. If it is kept in a dark spot for a long time, it will become leggy and lose its glossy look. So it is best to place it somewhere with a bright light source, so it will not be exposed to direct sun, and it will not become leggy from lack of sunlight.
5. Supplement nutrients
The biggest problem with hydroponic lucky bamboo is insufficient nutrients in the water, which leads to poor plant growth. Therefore, it is necessary to regularly add a few drops of nutrient solution to the hydroponic water to supplement the nutrients in the water. You can put one aspirin or vitamin C tablet into about 500 ml of water, dilute and stir it completely, then add a few drops to the hydroponic medium, which can help keep the leaves fresh green and glossy.
6. Temperature conditions
The suitable growing temperature for lucky bamboo is around 20-28°C, while summer temperatures are generally above 30°C, so in summer be sure to provide shade. If the weather is relatively dry, you should also spray water on the leaves to lower the temperature.
