There are still many undeveloped mountains in our country, and in these mountains there are all kinds of wild plants. Some of them are precious medicinal herbs, while others are ornamental plants. Today, the editor is going to introduce a medicinal herb to you.

This precious medicinal herb is detested by many farmers, because it is a climbing plant that likes to twine around trees and absorb their nutrients. So farmers all treat it as a harmful weed.

Its name is Baitiaogen, and in traditional Chinese medicine it is called Baibu Cao (Stemona root). The root of Baibu Cao is a very useful Chinese medicinal material. Its root looks similar to ginseng, yet it is even more valuable than ginseng.

The root of Baibu Cao has the effects of relieving cough and resolving phlegm, killing insects, dispersing heat and releasing the exterior, and warming and moistening the lung qi. It can be used to treat diseases such as pulmonary tuberculosis cough, genital itching, asthma, whooping cough, recent and chronic cough, and pinworm disease!
