Today I'm introducing a succulent called Chihuahua. Ahem~ don't get it mixed up, I'm not talking about that pet Chihuahua! This succulent is Huahua's favorite, maybe because its small leaves are packed tightly together, and combined with its "jelly color," it looks just like a little doll, plump and tender, so let's take a look at this little cutie together!

I can buy a complete plant directly from the flower market (remember to check for pests and diseases), or we can use the seed-sowing method - remember the most suitable temperature for germination is 16~19°C. Of course, we can also use the leaf-cutting method; the most important thing here is to choose healthy leaves!

The weather is getting hotter and hotter now, and summer is almost here, so we need to pay even more attention to care. Watering and fertilizing should be stopped immediately. It doesn't matter even if we don't water, because under high temperatures it is in a dormant state, growth becomes extremely slow, and its body also holds a large amount of water. A clever plant like a succulent will go find water on its own if it's thirsty, so we don't need to worry too much.

Moreover, it likes dryness and fears dampness. Even during the growing season, we should reduce the frequency of watering - once every half month is enough. If you don't know how to fertilize, you can just use succulent nutrient soil, so you don't have to worry about over-fertilizing and burning the plant!

Although succulents like sunlight, they will also shrink back under the strong light of summer, so at this time we need to give it appropriate shade so it can safely pass through the dormant period. Once the dormant period is over, we need to get busy and give it plenty of light and a moderate amount of water.

Because by then the Chihuahua has "awakened" and resumed its growing state. Only by absorbing enough light will it grow more compactly instead of blindly stretching out, and only in this way will the tips of the Chihuahua's leaves turn red!

Besides summer, winter is also its semi-dormant period, and it cannot tolerate low temperatures, so watering should be stopped as before. Because winter sunlight is not that strong, we can place it on the north-facing balcony at home to receive a little sunlight, so it can safely
