What is the difference between Asparagus cochinchinensis and Asparagus setaceus? How to care for them properly

Today I went on a picnic with friends. One friend asked, this plant looks so much like Asparagus setaceus, only the stems look so thick, and the stems and leaves all seem to droop downward, so strange, it doesn't feel like another variety of Asparagus setaceus. After hearing this, I observed carefully for a while, and indeed it looks very much like Asparagus setaceus, but there are also differences. The roots of Asparagus setaceus are white, and the leaves spread out horizontally. This plant should be Asparagus cochinchinensis, which looks very much like Asparagus setaceus. Later I looked it up and indeed it was. Today let's talk about how to care for these two plants at home.
1. Care of Asparagus setaceus
Asparagus setaceus likes a cool and ventilated living environment. It cannot tolerate high temperatures. It is enough to receive 2-3 hours of light every day, because if the light is too strong, the leaves of Asparagus setaceus will turn yellow. When watering, also pay attention: in spring and autumn, watering once every 3-4 days is enough. If the summer weather is very hot, we need to water more. Also, the timing of watering should be well controlled, in the morning or evening. In winter, water less, because the winter weather is relatively cold and Asparagus setaceus grows very slowly,
so water it less as well.
2. Care of Asparagus cochinchinensis
Asparagus cochinchinensis is a treasure. Besides being ornamental, it can also purify the air, and it is even a Chinese medicinal herb. Moreover, Asparagus cochinchinensis has strong vitality and is very suitable for care at home. For Asparagus cochinchinensis, when choosing soil, we should choose loose and fertile soil, and also place it in a place with plenty of sunlight. This point is somewhat different from Asparagus setaceus. But it also cannot be too hot. For example, at noon in summer, it definitely needs shading. Friends who have the conditions can apply appropriate fertilizer to Asparagus cochinchinensis, because Asparagus cochinchinensis is prone to yellowing leaves, and applying fertilizer is beneficial to leaf growth.
These two plants are very similar, so when caring for them we need to distinguish between them clearly, because the care methods are somewhat different. If we do not distinguish them clearly, we may not care for them well.
These two plants sometimes both suffer from pests, so each time we water, we can appropriately use some chili water or garlic water, because these waters have a certain pungent effect and pests are relatively afraid of them, thus reducing the possibility of pest damage.
