Jasmine is an evergreen flowering plant. When it is not blooming, its leaves are emerald green and glossy, giving off a strong vitality. When it blooms, the flowers are pure white, fragrant all around, and the scent is enchanting. Its flowering period is especially long, and it symbolizes loyalty, loveliness, and purity, so it is loved by many flower growers.

Jasmine's flowering period is from June to September. Some flower growers' jasmine has already begun to form buds and set flower buds, but they have observed that too few buds have formed. Today, Hua'er will introduce some tips for caring for jasmine. Getting flowers to cover the branches is just this one step away.

Bud formation and flower-bud setting require very sufficient nutrients, so fertilizing is very important. But summer is already approaching, and when fertilizing, you need to pay attention to controlling the amount of fertilizer, otherwise it is very easy to burn the roots.

When fertilizing jasmine, you can use the principle of "heavy feeding and heavy watering." Water thoroughly in the morning first, fertilize in the evening, and water again the next morning. This can effectively allow the roots to absorb nutrients.

You can dig some small holes around the edge of the potting soil, pour in 3-4 g of bone meal, and cover it with soil. Bury it once about every ten days. You should also frequently apply some additional phosphorus-potassium liquid fertilizer. You can use decomposed bean cake or fishy water fertilizer liquid diluted for application, about once every five days, staggered with burying bone meal. Do this: 5 days after burying bone meal, apply diluted decomposed bean cake fertilizer; then 5 days later, bury bone meal again. Repeat this cycle until the flowers bloom.

You can also spray a 01% potassium dihydrogen phosphate solution onto jasmine's leaf surfaces, spraying both sides evenly, to make it produce more flowers and extend the flowering period.

In addition to sufficient fertilizer, it also needs sufficient light. Jasmine is a light-loving plant, but it is not very tolerant of strong sun. If it is kept on a balcony, give it appropriate shading. If it is kept indoors, move it to a windowsill. This can let it set more flower buds and bloom more.

During the flowering period, you should also pay special attention to giving it appropriate pruning. Prune away old branches, damaged branches, weak branches, and branches without flower buds. Also, for branches with multiple buds on one branch, appropriately remove some buds, removing the relatively weak and small flower buds, which helps concentrate the nutrient supply and promote flowering.

That is all for jasmine care. If flower growers have other additions, you can share them with everyone in the comment section below. If you want to learn more about flower growing, you can follow Huajianke!
