Back in March I was still saying this year hasn't had as much rain as last year, and then April came along and slapped me right in the face. The rain just keeps pouring without stopping... The succulents all got drenched through and through, and they're so clean now...

Of course... the returning damp season... the plum rain season... the absolute worst, bar none!

I need to take some nice photos of them, because the ugly phase is coming. (Sorrow this big!)

Echeveria 'Gangye Lian': When it came back it was big and ugly, I just planted it however and it got through summer casually, and then it never grew any bigger. The shape is very well controlled, and the red edges are really eye-catching.

Echeveria 'Hongbian Yueying': A leaf-cutting seedling from a friend, a bonus plant that turns out great with just casual care, about to welcome its third summer.

Echeveria 'Orion': A good child that quietly became beautiful, I hope it doesn't produce offsets and just focuses on growing into a big rosette.

Name unknown: It probably has a name, but I haven't paid attention to it for so long that I've even forgotten the name. As far as I remember it's always been this colour.

Echeveria 'Furong Xuelian'?! 'Snow Angel'?! ...I forgot. Grew it from a few leaves into a double-header, and it's grown more than twice as big...

Echeveria 'Ruby': I have several of this variety in different sizes, easy to grow and good-looking, deserves praise.

Echeveria 'Chigui Cheng': They've completely overturned the way they first looked in my mind. Sigh... I was careless, just planted them casually and they turned out beautiful.

Echeveria 'Wax Peony': After last summer it was almost completely bare, and before I knew it, it's time for summer dormancy again. A heroic mother, with a whole bunch of leaf-cutting seedlings that have already grown up.

Echeveria 'Numei Yue': Very adorable and easy to grow, I love its little tips.

Mountain Rose (Greenovia): This is its most beautiful look right now. A month ago it was still a bit unruly, and a month from now it'll probably be dried up, but anyway half a year later it'll be full of life again. A good baby that you won't give up on as long as you don't abandon it.

Echeveria 'Bitao': Congratulations, it's finally pupping little heads. I'm so worried it'll get all leggy once summer hits, haha...

Green Bear (Cotyledon tomentosa): If it hadn't gone two or three months without water last summer, it would be a big bear by now. No doubt about it, it's a bear, a bear whose main stem died after summer, leaving only three small side branches. My dislike for it was intense, but the three side branches worked hard on their own, held their spot in the pot, and slowly grew into the current three-kingdoms standoff. This deserves a round of applause.

Echeveria 'Halloween': Planted two months ago, a tiny little beauty. The spring rain is really a wonderful thing. When it arrived it was the size of a fist, and it's been growing steadily ever since.

Echeveria 'Shaoxiu'? 'Purple Velvet'?: Who knows. Last summer I was pregnant with my baby, and my succulents were left to fend for themselves on the rooftop for months. I only went to tidy them up when the weather turned cool. This one was grown from a single small head the size of an egg that I picked back up at that time. In less than half a year it turned out like this, a bouquet in hand. I decisively moved it to a beautiful big pot. Good child, haha...

Same as above: A single small head picked up at the same time. Because it was in a big pot from the start, it's clearly grown better, a perfect bouquet.

Echeveria 'Ouzi': Planted in early February, it was a defective piece. Now... it's doing quite well. It hasn't let down the time or me, growing joyfully into a bouquet.

Echeveria 'Yanri Hui': Just repotted, also growing joyfully, no controlling, no controlling. It used to be in a small pot and was clearly more gorgeous than now!

Aeonium 'Black Mage': A good baby I raised from a single head, one ring of heads per year, so well-behaved.

Aeonium 'Green Velvet': Easy to grow, no problems, also one ring of heads per year, like tree rings, haha.

Like the Aeoniums I grow, just garden soil and grit, no water control, growing joyfully on their own, just that willful...
